Crystal Nwokorie is a proud member of the Nigerian diaspora. After seeing a presentation about VOQ’s accomplishments during the 2011 elections at Washington, D.C.’s Africa Gathering event in 2011 – she knew she had to get involved. Since then it’s been a wild ride with the VOQ team, leading most recently to her new position as Digital Media Director, where she is managing VOQ’s social media presence and website relaunch. What she loves most about her work with VOQ is being able to build lasting relationships and unite people, organizations and communities towards a common goal – making Nigeria a better place for future generations. She sees challenges and change as necessary steps on the path to progress and welcomes them with open arms.

By day, she is a Consultant specializing in business strategy and communications and uses her skills to help high impact, public and private sector organizations thrive. She is also a member of the Generation Enterprise team, a micro-enterprise incubator in Lagos, where she has helped them coordinate strategic partnerships and identify ways for youth-led enterprises to scale in underserved communities.

Crystal has studied at the National University of Singapore and is an alumna of the College of William and Mary, where she graduated Cum Laude with a B.A. in Economics and Sociology.
